My August seems to be heading off to a nice start seeing how I've been drawing each day of this new month. The biggest factor in this situation is that I've really been enjoying what I've been producing, which isn't always guaranteed as an artist.
I'd like to see how far this takes me, or even better yet, if I can keep up this daily challenge all throughout the month of August.
Usually the hardest factor in feeling inspired artistically depends on what else is going on in my life and work.
Someday I'll just have my art bringing the income, for now I'm a working artist.
Until then I have one job to pay the bills, school loans, & art expenses while my second job, my art, pays for my future and my ambitious goals.
. . . . . . . . . .
I worked for a good while on this pen drawing yesterday while I was off from work. I really like where it's heading.
I really, really enjoy the way it looks currently with an unfinished appearance. It's hard to decide when a piece is finished or not when you come to a crossroads like this. I suppose I'm just fond of the detailed line balance with negative space.

This is a new drawing I also started in my sketchbook yesterday as well. I'm really trying to push the creative feeling this week while I'm home from work [just got lucky with scheduling].

Inspired by lavish coiffures of the Victorian-era.
